I've done it to my rangie and there is a vibration with rangie tailshafts. Have heard it isnt as bad with nissan tailshafts due to the uni's being larger. I did it to get stronger drive train and better ratio's ( I have 4.6:1's) and the width. I met John Davis the other day and he has a 2 door rangie with a twin turbo LS1 in it that has 1100 hp and 860 NM running through the nissan diffs. Imagine that power through stock diffs!!!!!

I can't see that problem not being fixed by either a CV or double cardan joint on each end of the rear shaft.Quote:

As Ben said, the Salisbury is as strong or stronger than the Nissan read diff, and IMO you would be better converting it to discs than trying to fit the Nissan diff, unless you were doing it to match stud patterns.
The reason the Army burnout Landy uses Nissan rear ends had nothing to do with strength, but can't remember the reasons ATM. (pinion length ?? Dave/Blacknight will probably chime in and spill ;) )
