It appears the case, now I have done all the breather mods to Prodzy's Disco, he has no hill issues..........they're crap without the breather mods

I wouldn't use a quadrajet if useing LPG, as the carbs fall to bits, a holley will have no issues due to the simpleness of the components used


I was always a hater of Holleys, till I modified one myself, once they're done properly they are good, especially with LPG

Oh now you decide holleys are ok, man you gave me some bagging over my comments on holleys .

Rochy as said is a better carb but for the cost of a manifold i would just mill down a stock manifold and use either a 350 holley or a 2brl stromberg of a holden 6/ V8 since you will run lpg most of the time.

I was driving mine up some hills the other day in high gears thinking there was no way the 4.6 would've come close at these revs, and keepng up would've meant single figure fuel mileage:twisted:

LS1 will chew up and spit out, piddly little rover motors:twisted: and return MUCH better economy:eek:.............but the range, oh how I love the range of the diesel:wub:

Offenhauser manifolds are suitable for Rover V8s and Holey / Quadrajet carbs etc. Available in 2 or 4 barrel, square or spread bore. Most LR specialists will be able to get them or they can be bought fom UK / Europe.
I had one on my RR on gas.
They are also a low profile manifold so should no hit the bonnet.
