From talking to my mate with the stroker, that just adds more friction plates into C and D? clutch carrier, not stronger bigger components, but thats merely heresay and I don;t believe squat till I do it myself

I'm going to sound like an ignorant dimwit here because I'm not really up to speed with how the ZF works, and they say a little knowledge is dangerous..... So if any of this doesn't make sense then there is probably a good reason for it and feel free to call BS.

The C & D pack I think you can put into a 22 without further mods to have it tolerate more power. Thats what mine has had done as I understand it. As I understand it you can do the other clutches too and run the 24 pump (which I think is the same as the D2 22 autos, so maybe its an EH pump in reality) but this will extend the length of the auto. The...hmmmm, I don't know what the bits called, but the big cylinder thing is also meant to be thicker and stronger, but the planetarys are meant to be the same, something which I have also heard is the weak link in the ZF's. This is in addition to the stuff that is on the Ashcroft site.
    Cheers

I broke two trimatic planetary sets with a healthy 5 litre. 2.78 diff ratio and 235/75 15 tyres really loaded it up.

But if the planetary set failed, it needs to be bigger, clutchs had minor burns and in pretty good knick, I'm anal about setting up kickdowns on conversions as this is something COMMONLY not done correctly and quickly stuffs some autos

I think 100 more HP and a TF would be good

I'd like to learn to build a tough HP22, but I have no need for one, and noone else I know has any money to spend on trial autos
I'm working on getting my slack a$$ mate onto this, he just needs to pick tony's brain(manuel's son).
So it wasn't the centre diff, i told josh it wouldn't last

There are also a couple of valve body mods and a wider and more robust spragg that can go in, not sure which spragg it replaces but thats what a couple of guys from A&B came up with and there are similar stuff on the ashcroft site I have read.

I'd love to be set up to do autos, although I havnt done much on them in years (5 to be exact since ive had one apart) but it's exy to tool up for and exy to do the rebuilds and especially exy if you stuff up and bits come out through the case.
