    P38 Bilsteins on to a D1?

Is it possible to put a set of P38 Bilsteins (B46 2215 [rear]) and (B46 2214 [front]) onto a D1?

The rears look like they will go straight on but the fronts will need new turrets eye mount.

Does anyone know what the standard free length of a D1 rear shocker ought to be?

Are the differences in valving between airsprung and coil sprung going to be a massive problem?

    Fire away

if their the same as the D2 then the mounts for the front and rear will be different. as you say the top mount on the front is diff but so is the bottom, it should have a cross pin. thats not a prob if you also use the bottom spring seat from the D2. as for the rears i thiught the the top eye mount was a different size to the D1?

open and closed lengths should be fairly close.

    cheers phil

    Hi B92_8NW,
I guess that you are already aware that there are Bilstein shocks specifically for the D1 (I have some, but am away from home for some time and so can't look up the specs).

Am I right that you have the P38 shocks & want to fit them to the D1?
