    td5 exhaust

hay all, im looking at slowly doing up my defender, i thort a nice little cheap thing to do would be the exhaust, just to make it sound a bit meaner an get a bit of turbo wisel there, its getting chiped and intercooled so it dosent have to be all about perfomance with the exhaust, eny idears

    Simple!

Remove both silencers and put in a "hot dog"! The turbo will spool up quicker and you will get plenty of whistle and the "hot dog" will stop it from being too loud for the cops! I'm doing mine like that on Wednesday

Replacing the centre muffler with a straight through pipe does the same.

Make sure you keep the pipes they take off. My bet is you will be sick of the whistleing with in three months and want some silence! Ive just spent two days with excess whistle and it did my head in, though I do listen to Moby cd's
