    Trans cooler lines?

I went for a drive to find a new belt tensioner this morning. Land Rover, $295, Dayco APV1004 $190+10 freight at Bursons, etc, alas British4wd won on pricing again!

Anyway on the way home I took off at a set of lights, that's strange, who fitted a 5000 stall converter whilst I wasn't looking. Pulled over and auto fluid low, look underneath and there is ZF blood everywhere.

The lines appear to be leaking at the fittings.

What's the best method of replacement?

(BTW Enzed charged more to make engine oil cooler lines that I paid for OE in the end.)

mine came apart at swaged join on flex line to cooler.
Just unclipped connector on cooler, removed old swage refit flex hose to pipe and used a couple of ss hose clamps. Was going to replace when I got home, but its held for a couple of years now.
What a pia refilling fluid.Hardest part was getting the fill plug out.

I found the leak, its on the fitting just where the rubber line is crimped onto.

Sounds like yours is a D2. I have an ATF funnel, makes it easy.

I can't see where to unclip it, it appears to be one assembly.

mine has a hydraulic type connection onto the cooler. The line pressure is not that high, and hose clamps do hold.It saves removing the line all the way back to the box.
Just a warning, the fittings are a bit tight refitting and if not fitted correctly will come off. Thus returning all your atf to the earth and having to crawl around under the 4x4 refilling.(ask me how do I know)

    ps.disco2 00mod.

pps .do it now ,on a hoist, much much much better then on side of busy road in 40 deg heat.
