EDC ones have little wires hanging out of them for the EDC to control them, so I'm guessing they are semi-solenoid controlled.
There is a pic in the Bosch injection book on the site here somewhere.
I was only looking at it the other night.
Micropuss says:
Standard 300Tdi uses 4x ERR3339 injectors
EDC 300Tdi uses 1x ERR3337 sensor injector and 3x ERR3348 injectors
What's the difference between the ERR3339 ones and the ERR3348 ones?

Yeah I just checked the Bosch book. They're still fully mechanical, it's just a sensor that gives an input to the ECU when the needle operates. That's the ERR3337.
But the other three just look like plain mechanical injectors![]()
Buy four Bosch 0 432 193 835 injectors for a Tdi,there $100 per injector cheaper than original. Pat
Could be any reason, different spring pressures, different tip/ nozzle profile, different bleed off passageway? The other injector is the signal injector that is fitted to number 1 cylinder, it sends a signal to the ECU in conjunction with the crank pos sensor to help determine injection timing and duration etc
