    Tdi to RR tacho

    I am putting a 2ootdi into a RR
    What do I have to do with the alternators to get the tacho running??
    Put the RR alt. in??

    The tdi alt should have a terminal if it,s out of a disco that will run the tacho - W terminal i think !
    But in saying that you might have to get the tacho recalibrated to suit the 4 pot oiler instead of a V8

    Depends only on the pulley diameters ratio between crankshaft and alternator. In the 200TDi this is 2:1. Also depends in general on the number of poles in the alternator, but this is not a concern if you are retaining the TDi alternator.
