Check all your earths including battery to chassis and chassis to motor
Gday everyone ..the temp gauge on my 130 always sits around 95 degrees but while i was driving back from ulverstone after getting the new roof fitted to my 130..i noticed while turning a corner it was at 100 and the needle was moving around..but when the indicator stopped it came back down to 95..so i pulled over and tried the indicator and sure enough it would cause the gauge to read high..the needle would also go up if i turned the heater on, lights on, radio on, etc...anybody have an idea why this would happen ? bad earth ?
Cheers Adrian

Hey, How did the roof job go? Sounds like all went well
You have a bad earth somewhere, try checking the earth strap that is from the battery, through the side of the seat box onto the chassis and then the LH side of the transfer case. If all looks OK, it may be a time to fit an extra body earth. A decent wire from the battery neg to the seat box base somewhere should fix the problem

Thanks guys..yes JC the roof job went excellent...looks awesome...iam very very happy with the outcome.
Cheers Adrian
The problem will probably be a faulty earth on the gauge. This may be the earth on the gauge itself (that is where it was on mine), the instrument cluster as a whole or even the bulkhead to chassis or engine to chassis bonding, or possibly the fuel gauge sender to chassis.
