Oh ... I see it wants to be stubborn then ... :mad:

Do you have a big square sided screwdriver ... Put the nut that came off back on .... You might notice that the 3 nuts form a shape of a triangle .... Put the square of the screwdriver shaft between the 2 nuts and put ring spanner on the 3rd nut .... OR use the socket set

Use the screwdriver as a brace between the 2 nuts to hold the pulley in a fixed position

and then with the socket set ... give it a wrench ... or hit a ring spanner //
Trick is to have the end of the screwdriver stop on the chassie rail as in the photo ... "Bottom RH corner" // something it can be stopped on from turning /// Use your spare hand to hold it in position

From your door Rutherglen is approx 500 KMH:eek:

Dirrect from Here over 700:eek: I can't do it in my own from here as don't have time :(
So planing via Sydney but I won't have the 120 4BD1t :( as have family to drop off. My 89 RRC is not a good tow truck yet so will be (I hate to say it) a souped up 4D56Ti mitsu MJ triton:(

Will try to call in anyway. Have some big hammers and levers:angel:;)

Alright Mike, put the 1st Nut back on and using the Screwdriver pictured below I levered the Pully against the adjacent pully and .........:D Hey hey hey...

The 5.5 mm "Alen Key" Snapped :mad: when trying to undo the Alen head bolt on side of the bracket attached to the head ,

Nothing seems to be straight forward :D:D:D

Khos, you pull off the rocker gear before removing the heads.
Just loosen each bolt in turn a couple of turns, and put the pushrods in numbered holes in your plywood or cardboard.
You may have to hold down the followers while pulling out the pushrods so they do not fall out.

all followers came off , couldn't help it, I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but can't I recover them when the heads come off , BTW I still can't get the heads off with the rocker arm assembly all pulled out :(

with regards to the Pushrods I made a board to push all rods in their respective holes :D

The way to remove this stubborn little countersunk screw is as follows, Obtain a reasonably heavy hammer ar 4 pound mallet, a few short sharp cracks to its head and try again with the allen key. You will notice the screw has a large countersunk surface, this acts as a taper and is virtually impossible to undo unless you hit it end on first to 'break' the hold of the taper.
To date, and I have undone many of these, this is the only method I have found that works.
