Gauges were to put them
I have a Defender 300tdi wagon. I am installing 3 new gauges EGT, Boost and oil pressure. Were to put them, any ideas would be great and photo's if you have them.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Many Thanks

On my TDI defender I removed the standard clock in the right hand side of the dash board and place a VDO boost guage in its place.
On my Defender there is a clock on the radio/cassette player any how.
The exhaust temp guage fits in the centre above the fuse box next to the cig lighter.
The oil pressure I havent worried about as if I knew the oil pressure , then I will get worried.

My Defender 130 with 300 Tdi has Australian air conditioner with evaporator in the left footwell. I decided long ago that the outlet ducting from it achieved very little but took up enough space, so removed it.
The fuse panel cover is another thing of dubious benefit and a nuisance so is permanently off too. Now just enough room for a gauge each side of fuse panel.
My boost gauge is on the left side of the fuse panel and angled to face the driver. Among future projects is an engine oil pressure gauge with proposed location on the right side of the fuse panel.
These positions allow very short and simple plumbing to the respective gauges. Also, they are not in the dashboard area which is easy enough to clutter up with other stuff.
