Probably the most effective and best bang for your buck would be a roll or two of header rap around the exhaust pipes from the manifold to back below the seat boxes, even a bit further if you are worried about the people in the rear seats.

the floor of my ute can get up to 50 degrees on a hot day, not very nice on a long drive

I fitted heat reflecting sheild under the foot wells and in the engine bay of my 130 & when the new dash was being reing rebuilt I also covered the inside of the bulkhead with the same stuff.

Only wrap stainless steel headers or primary down pipes....wrapping mild steel headers will reduce the life dramaticlly....my mates lasted around a year before falling apart.
Best solution is ceramic coated...but it's costly.

I also put a large louvre at the bottom of the front wings to vent the heat out.

I daily drive in temperatures over 40 Degrees C in an old Stage 1 I put marine carpet on the floors and have never noticed the glowing floor.
In the 80s I do recall the floors of Series 3s melting my thongs to the floor though.

.... put meat & veges in alfoil .. place & jamb in / on intake manifold ... drive for 1 hour ... pull over and enjoy with cold coke
