I was led to believe it was early on in the TD5 run. I know when I re did mine I went for overkill and used the extreem environment lock tite.
As you said not a lot of work to be sure.

JC (thread #43)
You mention that your Honda Accord has a L/H thread crankshaft bolt.
I had a 1985 Honda Civic, the engine of which also rotated anti clockwise looking towards the crank pulley end.
When I changed the timing belt, the retaining bolt was definitely R/H thread.
Maybe different engine, different system.
However, I always understood the bolt/nut should undo in the same rotation of what it is retaining?
Similar to the viscous fan retaining nut?

Doh sorry Ilandro, I should've meant it SHOULD'VE had a LH thread, as I had a devil of a time undoing it, as it was an auto, and cranking the engine over with a bar in place would've loosened it immediately. I'll go back and edit it.
Thanks for that.
