    So much for Supercharge

I bought a Supercharge Allrounder for the starting battery of my RRC 14months ago.
On several occasions I have noticed my elcheapo volt meter show only about 13.1 volts while driving along. Did the same yesterday, then when I checked the voltage while running with a multimeter it behaved perfectly at 13.9 or so.
This morning dead as a dodo.
SO put it on charge for a while only 1/2 hr or so then got No1 son to crank while I read voltage .Click click click 6 volts at the posts .

It must have a crack in a cell or bridge between, as it cheekily still shows a green indicator. Bloody liar. Maybe the 10kk on corrugations killed it.
Anyone have specials on batteries? Supercheap do not seem to.
So much for going to a autolec, (who seems to have gone broke anyway)

I've started avoiding the SC autoparts store, as a regular customer to my local store I tried to make a warranty claim the day after purchasing an item which was poorly manufactured, they put every obstacle they could in my way.

Then there was the, trailer bearing kit that managed to last less than 500Km.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I bought a Supercheap "SCS" marine sls70 for $170. shows 14.5 volts charge on startup, so while down a little it looks good.
And a marine should take the knocks a bit better.

    Re Supercharge batteries.
I bought a mf95 (nz77 equiv.) Supercharge, now over 2 yrs. later still performs like new. (came with 2 yr. warranty)
Used as both a starter, fridge power and aux. lights, fully sealed and green sightglass never changes.
It has been as good as any other battery I have had, and never needs water, you cant put any in!
Happy to be corrected, but to my knowledge, Supercheap do not sell Supercharge brand batteries.

Funny, I thought my post was pretty clear.
I was reporting on the Supercharge "allrounder" battery that I bought 14months ago from an auto electrician and Supercharge dealer.
It has completely failed 2 months out of warranty and the dealer has also gone.
I replaced it with a SCS brand from Supercheap .

A Supercharge is not cheap if it fails in 14 months.
My point is that one battery is much like another .
Lets see how the SCS goes.

BTW my "Absorbed Power " AGM is going great guns after 4 years and being constantly charged at over it's designed 20 amps and sitting in a hot engine bay and being subjected to the same vibrations that killed the Supercharge.
So go figgure, as they say.

Are the supercharge batteries in Aus the same as the supercharge batteries in NZ?

I bought 3 of them last year, warranties were 24 months on the first and 36 months on the last two.
Price was excellent, around $NZ130 for the first (NS70 size), the other two were $NZ140 each and externally NS70 size but a lot more CCA.
