    Ace Amber Light Came On

    Hi,
driving down from Sydney today to Mittagong on a hot 34deg day the ACE amber light came on.

When we stopped I removed the key and restarted and it did not come on again when we continued.

I will put it down to a Land Rover Gremlin.

Any one else have any ideas?

    Cheers

See your GP, get a script for Xanax and you won't worry about it so much. (if at all)

    cheers, DL

Mine has done this from new only about once a year for no reason. I did notice that it only happened on the highway after a while.

Mine does it when tearing up and down a rough beach. I guess it just works too hard and gets hot.
    Cheers

Have had the same problem driving on the highway from Newcastle into Sydney; stopped/restarted and haven't seen the problem since (6 months ago).
As long as the ACE light is amber and is a one-off you should be fine; however if the ACE light is RED then you do have a problem...

Ive only had the same as Slunnie, several times.
Always on a soft beach when stuck in wiggly tyre ruts.
Always put it down to the oil getting hot.Light always goes out after a rest.
