    defender clutch-how long to replace

    justbought a new clutch kit....trying to work out whether or not to do myself. Have access to all the gear....hoist, clutch jack etc...but justwondering how big a job it actually is. I have a td5 1999 defender extreme. would I get it done in a day? cheers

    not quite a clutch rebuild......clutch master cylinder is what i rebuilt, something you puma driver will get good at

    i have had the clutch replaced at the shop though

    If you have all the tools as well as the parts , there is no reason why you could,nt have it done in a day

    the perentie can be done in 6 hours by one man in a fully decked workshop.

    the TD5 is a bit more cramped up but providing everything goes just so 8 hours is not an unreasonable ask for a deefer.... Im not going to guess at a disco.

    i did my td5 in a day (7am-6pm) on the floor, no hoists and only 2 trolley jacks... had the gearbox in and then out and back in cause the slave cyl rod fell into the bellhousing i did need LRH's set of hands to manuver the trolley jacks...
