justbought a new clutch kit....trying to work out whether or not to do myself. Have access to all the gear....hoist, clutch jack etc...but justwondering how big a job it actually is. I have a td5 1999 defender extreme. would I get it done in a day? cheers
If you have all the tools as well as the parts , there is no reason why you could,nt have it done in a day![]()
the perentie can be done in 6 hours by one man in a fully decked workshop.
the TD5 is a bit more cramped up but providing everything goes just so 8 hours is not an unreasonable ask for a deefer.... Im not going to guess at a disco.

i did my td5 in a day (7am-6pm) on the floor, no hoists and only 2 trolley jacks... had the gearbox in and then out and back in cause the slave cyl rod fell into the bellhousingi did need LRH's set of hands to manuver the trolley jacks...
