The maxxis home page is more helpful and the description provided on a few different sites matches about what I'd want it to be for the use you've explained your planning on putting it to.
They also have some good reviews and some deeper searching reveals some complaints about them but its my opinion that the people who were complaining about them were expecting too much from the tyre and shouldnt have been skimping on the $$ to get what they want.
assuming all the ply ratings, load ratings and speed ratings meet your requirements or are at least the same, out of the ones youve got selected you can literally go with "I like the look of that tyre more" and be right on for the money.
