What are these two holes in the block for?

Hi guys, i am just trying to get my motor back in an running again. I picked it up on thursday from Bruce Davis and was going great guns on thursday until an engine mount fell apart (yes stupid i know i should have checked) but a new one arrived friday arvo so go it all in and the engine crane separated at last. Spent the second half of today slowly and carefully hooking everything back up, all is in bar the manifolds and turbo. I went to get started on that and noticed that there is no where to hook the small braded hose on the turbo up to on the engine block. Its a female fitting but there isnt a male thread on the block to hook it up to. I have a pick below im not sure what the hole with the blue arrow is for, as far as i can remember there wasnt anything hooked up to that before, so do i just ignore it? The hole with the red arrow is the one i am guessing a fitting should be screwed into so i can hook the second smaller braded line on the turbo to, am i right?

If so it means Bruce and the guys didnt swap that fitting over onto my motor, so i will have to wait until monday to get it, or does someone have a Tdi donk sitting around that is buggered that i can scab that bit off so i can get my car running tomorrow?

That blue arrow is for the litle brass block drain plug. The Turbo oil feed has a male to male fitting that goes into the red arrowed hole. The fitting is probably still in the workshop, along with the block drain plug...
