EGR blanking kit
When a blanking kit is installed (TD5 Defender) does the MAF sensor remain connected in the system or doesn't it matter?
Thanks

yes. MAF remains. Kit goes on the other side and connects to the intake manifold.

Sorry, what I meant was, I believe the MAF sensor controls the EGR valve. If that is the case and a bypass kit is installed does the MAF sensor play any further part in running the vehicle or can it die and not matter?
Thanks

Yes...it plays a HUGE part and shouldn't be removed....in fact it should be checked regularly for acurate operation.
