When I bought my airlocker (RR 10 spline) direct from ARB about 9 years ago, they stipulated that i should run limited slip diff oil to protect the o-rings and seals. The diff i bought was old stock and had been sitting on the shelf for over 2 years, the o-rings failed after about 2 months. When i went back to ARB, they said "what kind of oil have you been running in it?". When I said 'lsx90 just like you told me to' they said no problem, seals must have dried out on the shelf- rebuilt the diff as warranty job. That diff has been working without fault for 9 years/about 300,000km on lsx90, (except for when all the crown wheel bolts came loose last year- and I don't think that is oil-related).

I called BS as no friction modifier I know of will do this and if they did, diff's would have failing pinion and axle seals all over the place, but he stuck to his guns...

A blender I speak to confirmed what I thought.

My opinion, FWIW is that either would be fine.

    Yep, that's the one

I couldn't be bothered digging it up Ben, thanks. Shows the memory isn't as bad as I've feared.
I'm still unaware of anyone using MoS2 as an LSD additive, but.....

Penrite Synthetic Gear Oil (costs about $30 per diff).
