Have a look at the crane fire ball stuff its what ive been using for about 2years now and its great comes with an optical trigger and chopper disc for in the dizzy to replace the points has its own controller which i water proofed with liquid elec tape this thing hasent missed a beat in the 2 years and im about to fit it to a new engin i also run a MSD blaster coil with it and power the coil via a 30amp relay which is swiched on via the original coil wire the MSD coil is the bottle type and can be run at full battery voltage of about 14V and gives off a spark that allmost killed me was the worst boot from a car ive ever had

Ok, I recieved my Pertronix kit from Ontrack Automotive (great guys, very helpfull) this morning. It's installed in 20 mins by a bloke who is afraid of dizzys

A report tomorrow on the difference. thus far idle is smoother and it sounds a bit smoother.
