What I've got many of you know of, it's a '97 disco with a TD5 in it. I currently doesn't suppy hot water to the heater matrix until (it seems) the thermostat opens. It's not running the fuel cooler at the moment having a T connection in its place.
When warming up the car there is no heat coming out of the hose to the matrix from the pipe atop the head, at the same time there is loads of heat coming from the engine mounted oil cooler hose, after inspecting the fuel cooler the line that would normally come from the engine mounted oil cooler has quite a bit of restriction through the fuel cooler.
After checking the manual loads of times it it correctly plumbed as a Defender.
Any thoughts?
I'm also considerign taking the water line from the oil cooler right into the matrix. I don't see that being a problem??

 Hi Keith,
The restriction through the fuel cooler on some early models wasn't enough, so a restrictor was added as a spare part, and was fitted in the fuel cooler end inlet pipe... I would certainly use the old cooler piping as a source for heating, good idea.
