    LT77 Rear Measurement Needed.

Hopefully there's someone out there with an LT77 on the bench or in pieces who can help me.
I need to check if the machined face at the back of the box around the bearing and seal is set back from the mounting face that the transfer bolts up against. If it is set back, how much?

I can post pictures if people can't understand just what I'm on about.

    Hi Dougal,

These photos might help... this is the rear of the extension housing (which faces the transfer). As you can see there's a collar which is recessed into the extension housing. The exposed portion of the collar is seated into a rubber seal on the transfer side.

Unfortunately all these bits are about 2hrs away from me but I will be reunited with them tomorrow night, so measurements can be taken then.

If this is what you're after let me know - the verniers are on hand

    Hi Matt

That is exactly what I'm looking for. Throw a straight edge across the back and tell me how much gap there is (if any).
Mine is leaking between the two and I propose to make something which fills that gap and stops leaks for ever.
But in the mean time mine is still together so can't be measured.

Hopefully Matt's pics showed you enough. If you could measure as well it would be appreciated. Lengendary landrover build quality and all that.
