"tell him he's dreamin"![]()
the cruise on mine wasnt working when i got it so all i did was read the rave section and went through the test, found a few things bust along the way then when all the bits tested ok it had to be the ECU. might have been lucky resoldering but i reckon that the componants in the ecu's are very reliable and its usually the soldering that fails with age. fixed heaps of ecu's on trucks like this. I dont think that the cruise ecu has a plug in diagnostics.
let us know how you go with the tune up, wouldnt mind seeing some pics of your beast if theres any around mate
cheers
neil

well the rangie came back from rover-tech this avo, hats off to Kevin and his crew down there fantastic guys. EFI ECU is fine have elininated any signal from that causing dramas, so the cc ecu will be out and inspected properly for bad soldiering. IN other news it turns out the old owner has put the wrong oul in the transfer case, and my back diff is full of water. will be changing oil ASAP.
cheers
mike, I'm glad someone likes them, I think they have to be the ugliest wheels in the world. well for my car anyway. I do want to get rid of them, but I have other problems higher on the list than wheels at the moment.
Are you in any rush to get a set?
I still have the centre caps to but I don't trust them, They were on the car when I got it, only to cover up the fact that there was 4 wheel nuts on on wheel and others were very loose.
They are 15x7" rims .... I am in no rush at all .... I have 4 on my car but no spares (only spare is a sunraiser 8" and a Vouge rim)
They look great up to a tyre size of 265 / 70 .... But stick anything bigger on them and they do look just plain silly
When you get them re-polished ... they come up a treat ... Don't loose the caps or the cap nuts or the lock nut for the cap bolts
So keep me in mind .... I ain't going anywhere
Mike
