    D1 Auto cooler lines

One of the auto cooler lines has a hole in it.

It was caused by the rubber hose section of the line rubbing on the other hose.

How easy is it to remove ?

Do I remove the entire cooler line as one piece ?

Am I able to disconnect the rubber hose from the steel pipe ?

Or do I just cut the rubber hose and take out the two pieces of line ?

I am planning on taking it to a hydraulic place to have the hose replaced.

After having that done, how easy is it to refit ?

I have searched the manual and cannot find anything on the auto trans cooler lines

The whole lot comes out as one piece between the transmission and cooler. The flexible hose is connected to the rigid hose with high pressure fittings and they will not release short of being cut. Even before they're crimped you'll have no chance of removing them.

The Pirtek man will most likely cut the rubber hose and fittings out and resolder new ones in before recrimping new hose in - or he may just cut the hole out and insert a high pressure joiner into the line and rejoin it (which will be a lot cheaper - and something which you could do at home).
