    dim defender dash lights

My 98 300ti defender has dim dash warning lights.
I can hardly see them during the day.
My previous defender was much brighter.
Any ideas how to fix it????????

No easy answer. Need to get in there and clean up your earths. Make sure that you're not sharing the supply with some high current draw load as that can pull your voltage down.

I don“t think it is a problem with the Earthing.
Mine were dim from brand new. It seems that the coloured materials used for the warning lights has a poor transmission factor - previous versions were better, but in an attempt to make the warning lights less obvious when they are off, they are also less obvious when on.
I have toyed with the idea of LEDS but it would be a difficult solution.

    dim defender dash lights

Mine are the same. During the day they are almost impossible to see. OK at night of course. I too have considered leds but have not tried them as yet. I have checked voltages and earths all to no avail. Jim
