    PTO - Later Transfer Cases

The LT95 transfer case can have a PTO going out the rear and/or going to the side from under the transfer case.

Can any of the later landie transfer cases accept a PTO from under the case.

Just an enquiry - nothing more.

    Thanks

the lt95 can have both but most are the underslung type

the lt230 can also have either most are the rear dive type but from memory you can have both at once.

    Hi,
would also like to know if a pto is practical to fit to the bottom of the later model transfer case, i have a 2002 td5 defender and it has an overdrive fitted which uses the rear PTO outlet. i would like to be able to fit a hydrolic pump to the unit to run a winch as well as other things.

if you want to run hydraulics and the overdrive why not just replace the power steering pump, certainly a lot cheaper than fitting a hydraulic pump AND a PTO.

Thanks for that - any idea if the underslung LT95 PTO would fit an LT230 or is there a special one.

    Cheers

never tried but Im fairly sure it wont and it definately wont work with a rear mounted device fitted on a 230.

it would be easy enough to adapt the drive gear to run the bottom mount pto IF it mated up correctly to the bottom of the box.
