Just not sure what to do

Hi guy's in abit of a mess with my cars and don't really know what to do.

The problem is I have been doing up a Stage 1 for some time now and for some reason I still want to keep my disco (evo kitted) but its a diesel.

My thoughts are this so far,

1- Transfere the motor and gearbox from the stage 1 into the disco

2- Start playing with the 200tdi to make it go (bloody slow)

3- Do a body swap and put the Series body onto the disco chassis and shorten it.

The problem with the 3rd option is getting it legal here in WA. I love both cars but as no one has phoned me about the disco in 9 weeks of it being up for sale I am at the point where I will either scrap it or go the whole hog.

I really love the V8's but can you get the similar power from the little 200.

... If you want a V8 Disco ... Far better off to just buy 1 ... A lot of them have gas kits installed if you wanted this as an optional extra ... I would remove all the extras on your current disco & just standardise it, so it will be easier to sell

This way you will not have to repay out on parts for aftermarket mods

Have you advertised in the "local Quoka" ?

Yeh I have advertised it everywhere but no luck.

I don't wish to buy another disco as I have all I need in the 2 cars now (apart from prop shafts)

I just stuck in 2 minds on what to do

    Fair enough ....

81 Stage 1 V8 WGN ..... where are you at with this one // Is it licensed // Do you want it as your daily driver?

63 Series IIA S/W .... This is a Tough one to move as only an Enthusiast would buy it // Hence ... dead money

93 Discovery 200tdi 3" lift, 32" muddies and Evo Kit ... Can you easily standardise this one so as to achieve a cheaper price on it?? ... keep the tyres & lift kit for the next Disco ... What price did you put on this one?

Wrecking cars is a Pain in the ..... // and your home ends up looking like one

What price did you put on this one? I dropped the price to 5500 but I don't want to go any lower as the suspension is worth too much

My thoughts are to put the V8 and gearbox into the disco and sell the stage one with no motor and box and then sell the 200tdi and r380

.... Won't you also have to install all the V8 electrics wiring loom? ... Headaches

If you standardise the car .. Remove mods ... Then you can afford to drop to 4500

... You will need the motor in the car running to sell it prior to removing it

Taff would be able to give you an Idea of how parts are selling in Perth as he has been wrecking a few Discos

I've got a 200tdi disco running 32's and it travels along very nicely. Not a rocket by any means but not that slow. I'd say it performs similar to my 81 rrc with a 4L on gas. JC has turned the boost and fuel up and I put a 2.5 inch exhaust on. I don't think you would gain anything with a 3.5 carby engine.
