    CB Radio

Well the thing is i have a CB radio unit and aerial ready to be put in my Discovery. I have been looking for a makeshift bracket but don't have anything to work so i was wondering where is the best place to pick one up?

Also i might need some new/more wire from the aerial to the unit, How much is this sold for and where is the best place to buy it...should i just go to Super Cheap?

Cheers guys i need to get this unit set up asap as to not be annoying in convey situations.

Cheers i have a bull bar bracket for the aerial so that is no drama it is just i need a bracket to hold the unit to the out side of the plastic panel under the steering wheel.

$20 doesn't sound to bad for the wire.

I'm guessing the bracket wouldnt be too dear either.

Sorry .. didn't mean to offend ... Most aerials have 3.6m of cable which should be enough to go from the front to the unit

Is it "ground Dependant" or Independent

The reason I keep asking about the arial .... If my memory serves me right ... is if it is Ground Dependant ... Buy the cable in increments of 300mm IE .. 3.m 3.3 3.6 3.9 etc .... To keep it SWR'ed OK

Ground Independent ... Any length .. But keep it 300 length just to be safe

I just bought a new 6.5db and it has 5m of cable

.... ..... I Don't know .... .... I get to find these things out the "hard way" too

just make sure it's bolted to metal (bracket) as normal and the cable is in the 300mm length's ....

I'm sure someone else will be able to shine some light
