    Question re inverters

    Hiya,

    Just fitted a AMP-TECH D48 as the 2nd battery in the D3. With the issues of voltage drop vs safety in mind; is it better to mount the inverter in the car and run 240v out to the tent or run 12v and have the inverter in/at the tent site?

    From a voltage drop perspective, leave the inverter in the car and run the 240v

    From a safety perspective run 12v stuff in the tent - and leave the inverter in the car, for the few things that need 240v and run in the car (or very close).
