I think my FPR is starting to go - feint dieso smell around the engine bay but still runs fine and there's no noticeable leaking.
Anyhow, I've found the Bosch regulator on ebay ($70-90 delivered from the USA) and can order the o-rings and gasket; one question remains: Is this all that can go wrong with the FPR?
I'm liking the idea of spending less than $100 instead of closer to $400 but I really don't want to touch it again for a long time, if ever. I can also get the whole thing from the UK for less than $200. Is there a reason LR doesn't sell a kit for this? Are there other components that can go or are they making it quicker for 'their' workshops?
