TD5 Exhaust manifold machining is it necessary?

I've located a manifold. Bloke says they need to be machined? Is this correct and if so how much would it cost

as a minimum it needs to be checked for flatness, if its within a couple of thou no it doesnt need machining.

    generally tho

yes it needs to be skimmed flat.

Also grind out the webbing and make the holes slightly larger, I replaced my 8mm for 10mm studs (D1 300Tdi has 10mm studs) re-taped to suit these studs as well as grinding the webbing out, haven't had a problem since

This is what I did, it was Tombie2s idea
