I'd bet that it has been installed incorrectly and the installer knows he's going to have to wear the cost of the locker. I don't ever recall hearing of any aftersales service problems from ARB in Australia.
How good is it?
I am disgusted with the after sales service of ARB in the UAE and am thinking of taking up my issues with the head office in Australia.
Basic part of it is that my brand new rear locker has not worked properly since it was fitted at the local ARB distributor and despite having a 2 year warranty the official ARB dealer here is trying to wear me down by dragging his heals and not getting it replaced.
Would ARB replace a brand new locker with another new one if it was faulty or would they insist that it be removed and dismantled for repair rather than replace it?
I thought the square section air seals were damaged so I replaced them...but it made no difference. The internals of the locker appear to be binding which doesn't allow the internals to lock when I need them to.
Thanks all.

I haven't bought an ARB product since one of them (a Brown but I can't remember his first name - it wasn't Andrew) rang me and threatened to complain to my previous employer about my use of company time and facilities.
I'd send ARB a fax on Telstra letterhead (I typed it up in Word and selected a fax template) suggesting an improvement to their bars for the LHD market. The Americans wanted an aerial tab on the RHS of the bar, not the left. It obviously got up his nose.
He got quite threatening.
I think they now put a tab on both sides.![]()

Had a few dealings with ARB for warranty issues with OME shocks. They were ok. Everything had to go to head office though.
Could have been easier but they did replace the broken one, which then broke, which they repaired, which broke again.......... etc
I’ll be interested in the outcome because I will be putting front and rear lockers on my 110 in the next 12 months. The last lot I had fitted I had done at ARB Milperra in Sydney as they fit a lot including to 110’s.
So I intend to go back to ARB Milperra as my local mechanic recons the air lockers are “problematic” and you need to be fitting a few of them to make it worth your while.
Your local mechanic is full of crap![]()
What are the most common causes of failure on a Locker then? I thought my seals were damaged so I replaced them...still I had the same problem.
It works 2 times out of 10 but most of the time I just hear air escaping from the axle breather pipe.
Thoughts?
Thx.
