    Does anyone have?

    Hello peeps

Does anyone have a complete wiring diagram for a 200tdi defender IN COLOUR

Ian is putting all the electrics back in the defender he has a few wires still not attached to things (lots of wires hanging around from accessories fitted etc) from when he changed the firewall......he put back what he thought was right attached the battery to see if he could see what was and what wasn't working tried turning the car over and nothing!

he has a wiring diagram which he has been trying to follow in the workshop manual but it would be helpful to know what colours go where...would make life a lot easier.

God love him this could be his worst nightmare.....he hates doing the electrics and stuff and when he and a few others pulled the fire wall, wires got cut etc etc and now he is in a pickle because he doesn't know where to start. with trying to get them all back!

even if you don't have a diagram but you have a 200tdi defender in the area that you wouldn't mind bringing around for a couple of cold ones so he can look and trace wires.

the early deefer wiring diagram in RAVE will see you right in terms of the major pluggings, only the AC and accessories really change. (some parts you can even get out of the series manual I kid you not)

most wiring diagrams are B/W with colour codes written on them.. mine are all B/W except for a perentie one I did over with a highlighter pen set.

    Hi DB,

    I can offer this:

    Vehicle Wiring Colour Code

which is the Brit standard from 83. I have another for earlier if that is needed. A lot seemed to translate directly to my 74/81/Chev/Ford RRC.

    WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO

Ian got the car turned over today......ended up being one of the wires bit faulty on the end of the ignition barrel.

Any way just got to wire up the remaining lights which we going to do together to make life a little easier.....and the rest of the dash put back together

get the new doors on, floors back in and the transmission tunel back on and we may, just may have the old girl back on the road!
