Thread: Better low beam?

Do a search on the traxide headlight upgrade kits, Drivesafe on here sells makes/them. I have the kit just haven't fitted them yet

HEadlight loom upgrades makes a difference, especially with longevity, but 90/100w globes really makes a big difference.

ok 90/100 ,do I need to do the upgrade?
I have a few relays kicking around from driving light sets.(to many roos around,d/lights don't last long)

if you go to 90/100 you will need to fit relays or Drivesafe's kit - the stalk dimmer switch will burn out if you don't. You will also notice a difference when you provide better voltage to the globes both in brightness and globe life.

with higher wattage lamps, there is a possibility that you *may* burn the reflective coating off the reflector, there can also be problems with melted reflectors

Try the Philips +50 globes, using a light meter I tested the 90/100w vs the 50/60W and found them to be exactly the same.

Definitely upgrade the wiring harness - before I used to get 11V at the globes, now 13.5V
