Land rover disco TD5 02 electrical problem

hi my discovery has a major problem every time it floods and we are driving home and hit a puddle anything over the bottom of the rim hight it goes into limp mode and it also has the abs and a few alarms on contently. When it was near new it kept going into limp when you wore just driving so the loom was pulled out and cleaned out and put back in and had no problem anthill last year I have read allot of post and I was not sour what to do. l was thinking of putting a new gear position switch on, soft wear up date for the computer and a new generation loom depending on price what do you think I should do

    cheers alex

Have you had any electronic diagnostics with Nanocom etc done? If not that's where I'd start to see what errors logged

Where on the coast are you? I may be able to read the codes for you.

When it goes into limp mode, does the throttle still work?

i Think it may be your inhibiter switch, which is causing the limp home problem. Are the M & S lights flashing? (assuming its an auto)

Water can affect those if it's faulty.
