    D2 2" suspension lift

In the process of fitting the new shocks to the rear of my disco. I noticed the brake hose & speed sensor cable are streatched to the max. The extended length of the shock is 600 mil. Is it the norm for a 2" lift to run so close to the max for the length of the hose & cable. Can I get away with putting a small bend in the hose & cable support bracket. Whats the opinion of you experienced folk?

make a flat bracket to lower the factory one, only an inch or two max should see you around that issue,

You might have to massage the brake line to stop it rubbing on the spring tower but very easy to do.

The SLS kit I bought had brackets in it to suit. 4x4 intelligence in Melbourne supplied the kit

    Question

Thanks for the reply Danny. Made my brackets as you suggested and all good. Next querrie, I see the front tail shaft rubber boot is goining to rub on the cross member. I assume I need to space it down. If this is whats to be done, any hint on how thick to make the spacers. Is this normal for a 2" only lift or have I been supplied with excessive longer shocks. There 600mm fully extended, Geoff.

    Hi Geof
There are extended speed sensors available on the net.
I cant remeber where and the were about US$100.
I am going to check my Disco for the cross member issue but never found it to be a problem.

    Cheers
    Rudolf
