how is your muffler? Straight through exhaust whistle as there is no attenuation due to missing muffler. Maybe your muffler has lost its guts.
Hi guys
I friend of mine who has been tinkering with the tdi's for a while longer than me has told me it is most likely the manifold gasket as there are tell tale signs of oil on the side of the block. So this weekend looks as if i will be doing a gasket :p. Will give update if it works or possibly more frustrated posts if not :)
Hi guys just thought i would give the fix to my problem. Replaced the manifold gasket on the weekend. It came off in 3 pieces put the new one on and low and behold the noise was gone, the engine was quiter in general and produced better power. Thanks for the help
Cheers
Josh
