I have a Donaldson precleaner, I take the Ram head off the snorkle when doing dusty tracks.
    Cheers Baz.

there are only really donaldson and enginaire... both are really good at what they do. the enginaire is the better design and dosnt collect the dust.

The Donaldson I have Isn't stainless, It's a plastic bottom with a mild steel cover.

Don't know how much they, I got this one for free.

    Internal socks are about $50

    Baz.

The august '08 price list from ARB lists the 7" donaldson as $64.50 and the 10" as $121.00.

    Smile Donaldson/Enginaire

Was looking at the Enginaire as it seems by their stats it has a high enoungh flow for the TD5 on the highway? Anyone confirm this? And by expensive I was looking at the Enginaire's construction not the Donaldson's - But thanks heaps for the Donaldson price!

There is also the Donaldson topspin, which doesn't collect the dust.

Given donaldson's extensive R&D, I would bet it is more efficient that the other. I have never seen these enginaire guys at the research conferences...

I don't like the idea of filter socks, a cyclone is much better imho.

EDIT - Davros - there are several sizes offered by donaldson (and the other too I would assume). You won't have any problem finding one that can flow enough air. However - don't go too big or you will dramatically reduce their effectiveness. Not sure what you mean about issues with turbos and speeds with the donaldson???
