    Which LR? inside or outside?
I have it inside in my old Disco and now on the Defe. It is a fully sealed battery in a box.

i run 2 x lead acids inside my defender, plenty will say you shouldn't do it.....

a sealed gel type battery would be the safest

Have a look HERE the Fullriver 100 amps battery or the First Start and then get a battery box from Super Cheap.

The good abouth this setup is that you can leave the fridge and the battery on the camp with the cook when you having fun on the tracks.

Then again if you are the cook..............

    I'm doing it, in a D1
    rear left.
Just finished running the wire under the left kick panels, under door panels.
Had to take out all the seats and carpet, as I found some surface rust.

Most people say don't have a lead acid in side the car BUT since the 110 have them under the Pas seat, the fumes can't be to bad....

I will be making a fully seeled box to put it in (roll over), vented to the out side via a hose going out the bottem of the floor.
This will be behind my drawers when they are finished.

I am currently fitting out the rear of our Rangie.

I have made a steel frame to hold two 6V deep cycle batteries (28 kg each) in their own plastic marine battery boxes, the frame sits high enough so the top of the battery boxes is level with the bottom of the left side window, the space under the batteries shall be for oil, etc, a load tie down with half ton rating holds the battery boxes to the frame which is bolted through the cargo floor.

Next project is the fridge slide, removable kitchen unit and other storage boxes in the back.

The Spare tyre is now on a swing out.

A lead acid battery will vent gas at a high rate during deep discharge or heavy recharge, if you are fully enclosing the battery in a box add vents, look at some marine catalogues, ask some yachties how they are venting, check out the front boot of a caravan that has batteries .... as you can tell I haven't gotten to that part.
