    HELP

Tried to replace the front wheel bearing. Got the new bearing in to the hub ok, but its left half the inner bearing on the drive flange. Cannot for the life of me get it off.

Car is half in the garage so cannot lock up.

    Its a freelander.

Anyone near Glenwood (nsw) got a bearing separator? in the next hour?

Ill be walking to bunnings at this rate.

OK - $60 and a new grinder sorted it, noise is still there on left turns though, so I guess the diff is knackered then? Time to trade her in.

    Swivels? Where/What are they?

Its definitely a bearing sound, and the noise varies with speed. So I think drive train.

bugger that's what I ment CV.....not swivel couldn't think of the word.

That makes me look pretty dumb....

There is a way of checking your cv......I think you put the car on full lock and have someone listening for knocking

Thanks. Its not the CV's I have swapped them left to right, noise is still on left hand turns only. It's coming from the front possible from the right or center of the car.
