    LT95 PTO "bits"

I'm just removing a LT95 PTO unit and am just unsure of which bits stay and which bits go with the PTO.

The unit unbolted easily enough from the LT95, but I'm just unsure if the male dog gears etc are normally part of the transfer or do they need to be removed for the PTO also?

    TIA for any wisdom.

    Plucked apart

Gears which remain... what stays and what goes with the PTO? The dog gear seems to be well attached to the transfer gear.
    Cheers

all of it stays with that particular pto setup.

when you put the blanking plate/rear support bearing plate back in everything you see there needs to be there.

Good stuff, thank you for this Dave and Tim.

I guess the next question, is will the bits in the next LT95 be in there also to make it operate properly so that the cover plate/support gets removed and the PTO dropped in? Somebody wants to buy it and its a waste of time/money if he gets it and it wont operate in his transmission.

    yes no maybe.

it will depend on if the new 95 has been setup for a bottom pto or not.

the fix is swapping over the output gear.

Correct me if I'm wrong but looking at the pics, the mainshaft gear which has the drive dogs formed as part of the gear are standard in all civilian LT95s.The needle roller bearing is also a standard part, which the pto adaptor has been made to use aswell. So you shouldn't have to pull anything else out, just fit the standard cover on it.As for the next box to use the pto adaptor it will be a case of swapping the cover for the adaptor.
    Cheers Eric.

    My recollections agree with Eric.

The fairy overdrive had to have a replacement input gear, but that was to increase strength and reduce backlash from the drive dogs (permanently engaged).
