Careful people. I have seen this topic tear other forums apart, lots of cutting and pasting of studies and websites and Energy in vs Energy out stuff...... It aint healthy I tells ya!

There is a bloke here on the Gold Coast who sells and installs these things, he reckons his mate uses one and uses 8ltr/100km out of a 308 holden dunnydore. He tried to sell me one after doing some work on my other 4wd (which he did a ****weak job on) for $4500.00 for the diesel. I spoke to my neighbour about them ,he drives interstate trucks and he told me that they tried them a few years ago but all they do is corrode out your inlet manifold with all the condensation it produces, more trouble than they are worth.

    Cheers Ezy

    Let's assume this invention works....

Say you fill it with 1Litre (1kg) of pure H2O. This will contain a total of less than 100g of Hydrogen molecules assuming there is nothing else in the water. This is enough for about 14MJ of energy for every litre of water in comparison diesel releases about 38MJ/litre.

Like I said: Let's ASSUME this invention works.

How much of an improvement do you think it will be?

Now maybe if you also fitted the vehicle with Hi-clones before and after the Hydrogen Generator...

Let's face it, everthing found on ebay really cheap does work, in one form or another.

However, unless combined with a Flux Capacitor you will never realise the full potential available.

Personally I bought 100 of those '+25HP' widgets and connected them in series to add 2500HP to my Smart, now who's laughing.........

while being recovered to Alice after blowing a transmission cooler hose and dropping the entire 9.75 ltr of fluid in a nanosecond, the truck driver was an ex /RAAF aircraft maintenance engineer now working on the V16 diesel trains that run the centre (and driving recovery part time).

He installs hydrogen generators on the side and swears by their efficacy, He says the electricity required is minimal and the fuel economy benefits is around 25-30%,

250 mls distilled water provides for about 600kms in a standard petrol six cyl engine. does not effect cyl lube issues.

    works fine with diesel to.

Wasn't trying to flog me a system or the like but just passing on the info for my further investigation.

    Hmmm

Is that all? I saw a video on youtube of a guy with a hydrogen generator coasting downhill. He was getting over 90mpg in a ford exploder.

lets not knock this too hard. (but I'm not saying dont knock this particular incarnation of it)

of all the crud thats out there this at least has groundings in reality.. the individual parts work but just not the way its promised.

can you make browns gas from water by means of electrolysis? yep.
can you make an engine run on hydrogen? yep
does gas fumigation help diesels? yep.

all of that stuffs been proven before.

lets look at it this way..

back when generators were done generator sytle and not alternator style would you have believe that you could have gotten more power out of the same size tube of spinny bits just by rearranging them a bit and adding say 10w of electricity to part of it...

it might be a case of theres a link from this thats missing, like an ultra high voltage ultra high frequency alternator to split up the water, heating the water in the cooling system or some chemical treatment of the reaction plates to give them more nueclation sites for the bubbles to form on I dont know...

its like people who claim that LPG fumigation on a turbo diesel gives them more power and more fuel efficiency but never quote on what the total consumed lpg and diesel rates are for the same amount of work.
