    no spark

First time I have posted. On Range Rover 86 I adjusted belt tension on alternator after having tightened the mounting bracket now the car wont start. No spark at all.I connected a wire to spare connector on alternator by mistake. Manual tells me not to do this. I have power at coil.Any suggestions?

I'm hopeless with elec's but I would be checking to see if you have blown a fuse in the ignition system, no I don't know where it is, some elec. guru will be along to help, Regards Frank.

    G`day ,

Does yours use 2 wires from the alt and are they the right way around ?

Does yours have 2 wires from the dissy and does the coil sit on top of a squarish alloy box ?

Does your manual give the basic test for the ignition ?

    Cheers
