Repair the drop arm while still attached to the PS.

Its a little more difficult but definitely doable and then you don't need to bother with undoing the bolt and then trying to get it off which can be a real right pain.

    Still working on drop arm.
keep having to go to work! And now the wind has dropped gotta take the boat out tonight to chase reds, so itll have to wait.

The ball joint is pretty shagged, cant really see how repair is possible???
Have a new drop arm anyways.

We followed this guide when trying to fix BrendanB's ball joint.

Drop arm ball joint change insitu - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum

It worked a treat. though pressing the bearing shell out was a little awkward but as mentioned quite doable and easier than removing the drop arm that wont budge.
