I got talked out of them... Around $100 cheaper then the BFG K2s. No one up here will sell them any more as they got sick of the claims. May be fine as a weekend warier tyre though.

    what Claims ?

now you're talking me out of them ? I only wana use them as a Weekend worrier .

Seriously I get Tired of being told that the rediculous prices I've been quoted are reasonable and I should be happy with them , BF's are a Good Tyre but they are pricey ...

I haven't seen it but they tell me they fall apart on the black top and drive like walking on jelly fish when you've had a dozen beers
    Bit like any rag really.
I'd say give them a go if only for fun. Definitely not for touring or work with big ks.
I went for the BFGs so I can jump in the 120 and drive any where any time and be OK on and off the black top. I just hope I don't take a side wall out.
With the high load rating they should be OK for me.

If I was to Buy BFG MT , which I'm not then I'd have to buy 5 , which at the prices you were quoted for KM2's that would equate to $1705 ,

Something tells me that is steep , The dollar value has increased but unfortunately Tyres are one of those goods that doesnot drop in price when $$AU gets stronger ...and they will probably stay at that price for a While.

I'm going to look at the option of Direct import from US.

Mate I can tell you it is hard as in the sizes we want are a bit limited in choice. I still don't know if I've made the right choice as my chances taking out a side wall on here are high. Got me buggered why no one makes a 14 or 16 ply rating 33" tyre. I used to run the Motorway Mongrels but now are gone

I run the extreme in a 35x10.5 16 and two others in the Gold Coast club run them in a 35x11.5 15, pretty much identical in diameter and tread width. For all three of us they are purely weekend tyres and the tyres get trailered to the location and changed. The most black top i have driven is probably 10-15km at 80km/h and they were noisy but behaved reasonably. I would not drive on them as a daily or for any distance trips.

On a trip to Levuka (rainforest 4wd park - very slippery mud and clay) the 3 of us running the extreme drove everything, while those running MFG Muds, Maxxis Muds, Silverstone Sports etc struggled and had no chance on one particular hill the 3 of us made look easy. I have also done some technical creek/rock gully runs and they handled this well, just need to be carefull that you do not give too much right foot when the side lugs are catching and trying to get side grip. Have also done some very loose marble and dusty hills and they clear through this well. I have not been disappointed with them yet, put it that way

I got mine about 12-18mths ago at a bargain price, $900 for 4 on standard disco rims, NEW Love Ebay I think the boys paid about $320 per tyre 6mths ago for theirs. (would have to double check to confirm this though).

I concurr with Stikan, as I am one of the other guys with them.

In mud they are awesome. On rock Less so.

On the road I havent driven more that 10km mainly as I dont want to round them off, but they were very very noisy, and I would say going over 90kmh would be risking it.

I had Simex centipedes wore them out, then bought the Silverstones......................I now have Simex

They Measure undersize to buggery, they drive rerribly, don;t get me wrong, a centipede ain;t a pleasure to drive on, but the Extremes are worse again

    I really didn;t like them

BUT, they are $100 a tyre cheaper

    Chinese winch........Warn winch?
