in most cases.........its nothing a hammer and chisel cant undo......
you pretty much only gotta loosen the lockring......and undo it by hand......
it only needs to be tight enough so as not to leak......
I note in the manual a special tool is required to remove the lock ring to remove the pump from the tank.
Has anyone made this tool or is there an alternate method. I can't tell what the tool looks like from the drawing in the manual. At least not enough clarity to fabricate one.
I am going to cut a access hole in the tray above the pump for access.

hands and a piece of inner tubing, works for me almost everytime...
Dont go near it with a chisel.......
a rubber mallet usually gets it if you cant get it with your hands.
