    Defender TD5 fuel pump

I note in the manual a special tool is required to remove the lock ring to remove the pump from the tank.
Has anyone made this tool or is there an alternate method. I can't tell what the tool looks like from the drawing in the manual. At least not enough clarity to fabricate one.

I am going to cut a access hole in the tray above the pump for access.

    Thanks

in most cases.........its nothing a hammer and chisel cant undo......

you pretty much only gotta loosen the lockring......and undo it by hand......
it only needs to be tight enough so as not to leak......

hands and a piece of inner tubing, works for me almost everytime...

Dont go near it with a chisel.......

a rubber mallet usually gets it if you cant get it with your hands.
