When you say hard to kick over do you mean the engine is turning over slow?.It won't be injectors, they are cheap anyway and you have lost me on the fuses, they shouldn't have anything to do with it.Is the battery in good condition?.Take the line off the injector pump side of the lift pump and give it a few pumps and see if the fuel stream is solid or broken. Fuses are either blown or not. And when not, they work. The possition in the fuse block should not matter unless the rating is too low and they blow.
I am in the WTF brigade on that theory too.
Early start, hard to start. Sounds like battery issue, if it is very cold and your battery is in poor condition it might be struggling to turn the engine over at a good rate.
Not much else to diesels than fuel, air and compression.
Diesels do not have a throttle boddy by the way.

Disregard the fuse thing i realise now it has nothing to do with.
Can't be battery as it has 2 and they are both in excellent condition.
Can only be fuel delivery i think. Gonna get stuck into this weekend. Were is the best and cheapest place to buy parts from?
