200 tdi injector pump
hi guys and gals
Ive just resently pulled down my 200 tdi and had it all machined ready for a rebuild but realised the other day when i was reading my workshop manual that when you remove your inector pump your suppose to lock it some how before you remove it , and i didnt now if i accidently turned my pump while it was out how can i tell when and if its set right with timing of crankshaft and cam . thank you any help would be appreciated as im ready to rebuild the engine .

Andy, have you got the RAVE manual? It's worth the $20! I haven't had any problems setting up a 300Tdi pump, and it would be the same as 200Tdi.
But I did it with help of the manual. It involves some locking pins on the engine and pump, and as long as the engine has been "parked" at #1 TDC, the remaining installation of the rest is then a breeze.
Get the CD off the AULRO shop.
