    Auto Ratios.

    I really have no idea how LR decide on gears,,

    BUT--

    I am very happy with 4th locked,, (unladen) but,,,
    with the camper 4th wont work untill over 110
    I reckon I need a gear between 3rd and 4th

    1st seem's fine, off-road, towing or not,,

    I'd be interested in other LR Auto ratios,,



    maybe I should have sent this to ZF,,,

    Be thankful you can drive with the camper in 3rd and it locks

    The difference between D and 3 on a D1 is riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidiculous. One day I'll bother with the 3rd lockup mod.

    I never seriously towed with the D2a but I really missed low first off road.

    Are you running original tyre sizes???
    Mine are 235/85 and it really messes with the factory gearing.Hoping my chipping sorts it somewhat.
    If you are running bigger tyres??? the 4.11 diff ratio may sort it.
